The BDS100 is a turnkey fiber coupled UV/Vis/NIR light source providing spectral output from 200 to > 1100nm. The 3 W UV Lamp is electrode-less RF induced deuterium lamp providing the advantage of low heat generation and low power consumption. A 3 W Tungsten (W) Halogen Lamp shares the optical path with the Deuterium (D2) Lamp and provides Vis/NIR emission. The light source comes complete with a DC power supply. A safety shutter and individual On/Off controls for both the Deuterium and Tungsten lamps are provided. The BDS100 features an SMA 905 connector for fiber optic light coupling. With no fiber alignment needed the BDS100 is ideal for spectroscopic applications.
The BDS130 is a turnkey fiber coupled UV/Vis/NIR light source with a spectral output of 190 to > 2500nm. The UV/Vis lamp is a 30W deuterium lamp providing the advantage of low heat generation and efficient power conversion. A tungsten halogen lamp shares the optical path with the deuterium lamp and provides Vis/ NIR emission. The UV/Vis and Vis/NIR light sources can be individually turned on and off. An electronic shutter is included to control light output using another switch on the front panel. The BDS130 features an SMA 905 connector for fiber optic light coupling with no fiber alignment needed and is ideal for spectroscopic applications.
The BPX100 is a compact 5 Watt Xenon flash lamp module complete with an internal power supply and trigger circuitry. Flash lamps are similar to all other arc lamps in that optical radiation is produced by passing an electrical current through a gas. Xenon is the most efficient gas for flash lamps and produces both continuous and line spectra. Current is supplied by a charged capacitor capable of discharging large amounts of energy in a short period of time. The low pulse-to-pulse variations and long operating life characteristics make these lamps ideal as excitation light sources for fluorescence spectroscopy and UV rich sources for reflectance and transmittance spectrophotometry. The BPX100 features an SMA 905 connector for fiber optic light coupling.
The BPS101 is a low-cost high-performance constant current light source which uses a replaceable tungsten halogen bulb rated for 10,000 hours. This device uses a constant current setting which provides precision current control allowing for stable performance.
A remote control port is provided on the rear for versatile remote On / Off modulation, operating current monitoring, and external operating current control. Slow ramp start is built into the source to ensure stability and long-life operation. The BPS101 features an SMA 905 connector for fiber coupling. No fiber alignment is necessary and is ideal for visible and near IR spectroscopic applications.

The SCL100 series Spectral Calibration Sources come in 6 lamp models: Argon (Ar), Krypton (Kr), Mercury (Hg), Mercury/Argon (Hg/Ar), Neon (Ne), and Xenon (Xe). These sources can be used for wavelength calibration of monochromators, spectrometers, and spectroradiometers. By exciting these various gases they will produce narrow intense lines of the corresponding element(s). This light source comes with a 12V DC power supply and features an SMA 905 connector for fiber optic light coupling with no need for fiber alignment.
ICL series Calibrated Lamp Standards are tungsten coiled coil filaments enclosed in quartz envelopes. Both 1000 W and 100 W lamps provide reliable spectral irradiance calibration from 350-1050nm, 350-700nm, and 350-2200nm. Lamps are seasoned and the calibration is traceable to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) scale of spectral irradiance. The lamps are provided with their respective lamp holders for easy installation and adjustment.

BCR100A series cuvette holders are designed for raman sampling. The BCR100A holds a standard 12.5 x 12.5 mm cuvette for Raman measurement of a liquid or powder sample. The cuvette holder is designed to work with B&W Tek, Inc. Raman probes and provides a stop to prevent the probe shaft from hitting the cuvette and an excitation light trap to reduce background fluorescence.
For BAC100 Lab Grade probes which have a 9.5 mm shaft diameter the BCR100A-9.5mm cuvette holder should be ordered.
For the BAC101 Industrial Grade probes which have a 12 mm shaft diameter the BRC100A-12mm cuvette holder should be ordered.
BFH105 inline filter holders are designed for fiber coupling and ease of handling. It can hold up to three standard Ø 1in x 5mm filters (not included). The holder has two SMA 905 fiber connections and can be used with any B&W Tek array spectrometers and BDS or BPS light source.
BCH100A series cuvette sample holders are designed for fiber optic illumination/detection coupling and ease of sample handling. It holds a standard 12.5 x 12.5 mm cuvette for liquid or powder sample transmittance and absorbance with proper spectrometer and light source setup. The cuvette sample holder provides 2 or 3 (optional) SMA 905 fiber couplers and is ideal for use with B&W Tek’s BRC and BTC series array spectrometers together with BPS and BDS series fiber light sources. The standard configuration comes with two ports (straight through) with optional third port for right angle (with respect to the illuminations) detections for fluorescence applications.
BAC030 is a high throughput cross-flow liquid flow cell. Designed for NIR spectroscopy applications, UV and Visible versions are available upon request. This flow cell uses high quality optics for collimation and collection to optimize signal throughput. Easy to install and take apart for cleaning.

The BAC046 Variable Path Length Gas Cell is designed for measuring the spectral absorbance of gases in the UV-Vis-NIR. The molecular density of gas is low so a long optical path is required to measure its molar concentration by spectral absorbance techniques as used with liquids. The BAC046 contains three mirrors, two windows, two 5-axis fiber ports and an adjustable optical path with path length steps of 0.8 meters for a total path length of 8 meters. With an optical path folded in a volume of 0.75 liters the BAC046 can be used to identify and characterize materials in; pharmaceutical, food science, biology, semiconductor, geology, and others.

The BAC160 Series products are newly developed liquid sampling flow cells. The flow cell is designed for Raman or fluorescence measurements. It is very easy to install and take apart for occasional cleaning. It is designed with reliability and repeatability for on-line process monitoring. A 316 SS with Kalrez seals (or Teflon with Teflon O-ring seals) and Quartz windows reduce cost while allowing use with a wide variety of materials. Hastalloy C-22 Sapphire windows along with various sealing materials are available on request.
With a small laser spot size of 85mm, laser focus at the sample area becomes critical in all dimensions. The BAC150 precision probe mount accessory provides coarse and fine adjustment knobs for the X, Y, and Z axes. Z-axis adjustment allows for laser focusing on the desired plane in order to maximize the Raman signal.
The BAC151 is a video microscope adapter. It uses the BAC150 Precision Raman Probe Holder and is compatible with BAC100 or BAC101 Raman probes. The BAC150 platform provides both coars and fine adjustments in the XYZ directions. The BAC151 adds an LED illuminator and a video camera for convenient alignment and viewing of the measurement field. The BAC151 accepts standard microscope objectives.
The BAC151A is a Raman micro-positioning system that is compatible with all B&W Tek Raman systems. It was designed to offer the highest level of flexibility in facilitating Raman sampling in various applications. BAC151A can be configured in different ways so that the system can be tailored for the exact requirement for your applications. The unique feature of dual laser wavelength port provides flexibility for one system to be coupled with two different laser wavelengths. The integrated camera allows precision Raman sampling through camera monitoring of the laser beam and imaging details. When coupled with B&W Tek's portable Raman spectrometers, this video microscope systems provides advantages of a Raman microscopy at a fraction of the cost of most research instruments. With tripod accessories available, the video head can be mounted to the tripod easily.
The FRC100 is a right angle transmissive near cosine corrector for measuring spectral irradiance. Featuring a diffuser made from PTFE, the FRC100 can be used from the UV to the NIR range. When compared to integrating spheres, the FRC100 provides greater optical efficiency and improved signal sensitivity over a broad spectral range. A 600μm Fiber Patch Cord with metal sheathing is provided which connects to the SMA 905 connector on the FRC100 and to a spectrometer on the other end. A working setup would consist of purchasing an FRC100, Spectrometer, and Irradiance Calibration.
Two Raman probe options are available to allow sampling of various materials in the form of liquids, gels, powder, or solids under lab conditions (Lab Grade) or demanding environmental conditions (Industrial Grade).

B&W Tek's new Raman probe with hand trigger is designed to allow sampling of materials such as liquids, powders, slurries, and solids both in lab and process conditions. The innovative design is using state of the art telecom packaging techniques (patent pending) and optimized optical lenses. The hand trigger provides the convenience of point-and-shoot operation. Compatible with virtually all SMA coupled spectrometers, the hand trigger Raman probe is ideal for applications in the field and selected process applications. The hand trigger Raman probe is available for 785nm excitation wavelength and 532nm excitation wavelength.

A fiber reflectance probe, such as the FRP series combines optical fibers at the sample end with the bundle bifurcated into two channels for connection to a light source and a spectrometer.
A fiber optic reflectance probe can measure either diffuse or specular reflectance from surfaces. When positioned at an angle to the surface normal, it measures diffuse reflectance. When positioned normal to the surface, 0° angle of incidence, it measures specular reflectance.
The FPC series of Fiber Patch Cords are fiber optic cables terminated with fiber optic connectors on both ends. These patch cords connect with ease to B&W Tek spectrometers, light sources and sampling accessories. The fiber cables are available in single strand UV or NIR grade fused silica optical fiber with various core diameters.
NIR Grade Fiber Patch Cords use a Low -OH content silica core for a spectral range of 350nm to 2400nm.
The FPC-MIR series of Fiber Patch Cords are fiber optic cables terminated with SMA 905 connectors on both ends. These patch cords connect with ease to B&W Tek spectrometers, light sources and sampling accessories. These cables are made from a single strand MIR sapphire optical fiber which comes in two standard lengths with custom lengths available.
SMA 905 style connectors are most commonly used with multimode fibers, especially large core fibers. This connector is characterized by a 1/4-36 UNS-2B thread coupling mechanism and a cylindrical ferrule of 1/8 inch nominal diameter.
The CLA-SMA collimating lens converts divergent rays of light into parallel rays. The lens is fabricated from fused silica and can be used over a broad spectral range, UV/Vis/NIR. The CLA-SMA attaches to an SMA 905 connector of a Fiber Patch Cord and Fiber Assemblies from B&W Tek. When used with a fiber cord attached to a light source, the CLA-SMA produces a parallel (collimated) beam of light. When the fiber cord is attached to a spectrometer, the CLA-SMA provides a narrow acceptance angle and narrow field-of-view.
The fiber dip probe is used for measuring the transmittance and absorbance of liquid solutions. The fiber dip probe can be inserted into a beaker or other liquid container. These probes are most useful when observing changes in solutions for kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing.

The Spectral Reflectance Reference (SRR) is a PTFE material contained in a circular metal housings. The SRR have a diffuse reflectance of 99% from 400nm - 800nm, >98% from 300nm - 1800nm (UV-Vis-NIR region), and >92% from 250nm - 2500nm. The SRR come in two diameters, 1.25" & 2.0" that come in a protective metal cover. Each standard is available with an optional diffuse reflectance data certificate from 250nm – 2500nm, at 50nm increments.
