Optical Alignment Technician
Job Description

With the fast growth of our business, we have an immediate vacancy for a full-time Optical Alignment Technician for our Plainsboro, NJ location.
Responsibilities:
Follow established test protocols and procedures for product testing for spectrometers, portable and handheld Raman and other spectrometer instrumentation, including software testing.
Troubleshoot failures, identify and report issues, investigate and pursue internal and external resolution to production and engineering personnel for product and process improvement.
Perform calibration of modular and handheld systems as needed as back-up to production.
Interact and coordinate with sales, production, and shipping staff to assure timely completion of tests and on-time delivery of product to B&W Tek customers.
Work with supply chain and inventory personnel to collect and package the necessary accessories to satisfy Bill of Materials and checklists for completion of shipments.
Assist production with system packaging, packing, and marking for delivery to customers.
Follow documented procedures. Contribute to document and procedural improvements.
This position requires you to report to work onsite Monday through Friday.
Related Responsibilities:
Assist training initiatives for internal and external customers and distributors in relation to product servicing and repair activities.
Assist service/production/QC to improve product quality.
Assist in application services (demo preparation, annual certification, application tests and measurements).
Assist in evaluation, maintenance and development of testing procedures, bug reports, SOPs, user manual, service manuals and other essential documentation for B&W Tek products (software/hardware).
Assist in product management and product transfer from engineering design to production/QC
Education and Experience:
– Minimum High School Diploma. Associates degree in Technical Field preferred.
– Hands on experience with electronic devices and software operations preferred.

Pay: $20.00 – $25.00 per hour
