We are pleased to announce Dr. Katherine A. Bakeev as Director of Market and Customer Development to oversee all product Marketing activities going forward creating the organizational structure to support the development and enhancement of our customer experience initiatives.
Katherine and the teams’ primary accountabilities will be to manage and coordinate marketing, advertising and promotional staffing and activities; Perform analysis and research customer and current market conditions as well as competitive landscape; Interface with customers to further define product direction; observe market/technology trends and develop ideas for innovative new products or the improvement of existing products in order to continually expand the effectiveness, marketability, branding and revenue potential of the company.
Katherine will also continue to develop and implement marketing plans and strategies for B&W Tek’s NIR and LIBS product.
Katherine joined B&W Tek in January 2013 as Director of Applications and Services. Among her impressive credentials before joining B&W Tek were responsibilities as Chief Scientist with CAMO Software and as Principle Scientist – Process Analytical Technologies with health care giant GlaxoSmithKline.
Dr. Bakeev holds a PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst as well as a Masters in Technology Management from Stevens Institute of Technology.
