Portable Raman Spectrometers

TAP-25 and TAP-50 are silver P-SERS substrates (printed SERS substrates). The performance-grade, flexible and sensitive substrates are designed for dip or liquid pipette sample techniques and fit directly into the TacPac adaptor for optimal signal collection. Available in packs of 25 or 50.

Sample holders of different dimensions (2, 4, 6 or 8 mm) for use with the QT-Sampler. Each set includes Excitation Aperture, Collection Aperture, Large round sample holder and Large oblong sample holder. Standard included sizes are 4 mm and 6 mm. Please contact us for additional sample holders customized to fit other sample shapes, sizes ranging from 2 to 22 mm diameter and up to 10 mm thick.

The BAC102 Raman Trigger Probe offers a trigger function which is designed for versatility in making Raman measurements. The probe can be brought directly to the sample and make contact with either the sample or the packaging of the sample via a detachable distance regulator that ensures proper focusing while minimizing contamination to the lens material. The trigger button provides the convenience of initiating measurement from the probe head.

Different versions of the probe with varying optical lenses allow for measurements down to 65cm^-1 Raman shift (100 cm^-1 for 1064 nm version). The standard fiber length of 1.5m includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the high throughput models (HT) have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

The standard shaft is 304SS with a flat quartz window and spot size of 85 μm. This is not for immersive use. For unpressurized immersion measurements alternate shafts are required. We offer Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window). Custom probes can be constructed with dimensions, material and working distance to suit your application needs.

The BAC101 is an immersion Raman probe designed for in-situ analysis including those in demanding industrial environments.

The BAC101 industrial-grade probe is available with shafts of 316SS or Hastelloy C-276, offering a wide range of operating temperatures and chemical compatibility. They are offered for use with our 532 and 785nm excitation portable Raman instruments, and high-throughput (HT) versions are available for optimal performance with the i-Raman Prime series high-throughput instruments. Due to the extremely short working distance of the probe shaft, highly reproducible results are achieved working with the probe tip immersed in liquids, slurries, powders, or in direct contact with solids.

The standard fiber comes at a length of 1.5m and includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and a durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the HT models have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

For unpressurized measurements requiring longer working distances, such as going through glass reactors, Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window) are available.

The BAC151 is a compact Raman microscope compatible with B&W Tek portable Raman systems. It is designed to offer the highest level of flexibility in facilitating Raman microsampling for a variety of applications. The BAC151 can be configured to fulfill the exact requirements of your application. The unique dual-laser-wavelength port provides the flexibility for one microscope to be coupled with two different laser wavelength Raman systems. The integrated camera allows for precision Raman sampling through camera monitoring of the laser beam and imaging details. Coupled with B&W Tek’s research-grade portable Raman spectrometers, it provides Raman microscopy capabilities in a small form factor at a fraction of the cost of most research instruments. The video head can easily be mounted to a tripod, facilitating use in field applications.

This enclosure (BAC152C) is designed for Raman sampling systems such as our Raman video microscope and probe holder. The enclosure eliminates direct ocular and/or skin exposure from the laser emission and makes the otherwise class 3b laser of the i-Raman series as safe as class 1. The enclosure is good for all B&WTek Raman systems with 532nm, 785nm, and 1064nm lasers. It also minimizes any interference of ambient light in the collection of Raman data. The enclosure is ergonomically designed to facilitate sample loading and system operation. It can be used in conjunction with the Video Microscope (BAC151C) or Raman probe holder stand (BAC150B) and a portable i-Raman series instrument to complete the Raman sampling system. This enclosure is ideal for use with the portable i-Raman instruments in teaching environments, and other installations outside of conventional laboratory settings. Some assembly required.

The BAC150B is a Raman sampling accessory that serves as a holder for B&W Tek’s fiber Raman probe.

The BAC150B has XYZ axis adjustment; the Z axis is vertical and is used to focus the laser to ensure the best Raman excitation and collection ability. The X/Y adjustment is achieved through two layers of a mechanical stage, which is also the working plate for samples. By adjusting the X/Y stage, you can obtain Raman spectra from anywhere on the sample.
The BAC150B is versatile for a variety of samples, allowing for the measurement of both very small samples and those weighing a few kilograms.

The BAC150B is ideal for applications which require a stable and fixed sample location with precise focus adjustment. It provides the capacity to optimize the focus through coarse and fine Z-axis adjustment.

The RIS100 optional immersion shaft is designed as a replacement shaft for our BAC100 and BAC102 Raman probe assemblies in order to perform immersion measurements. It is ideal for observing kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing via Raman spectroscopy because it can be submerged into a liquid sample. Special effort was taken in designing this immersion shaft to guarantee that it is liquid tight and inert. It can be used with Raman probes with excitation wavelengths 532nm, 785nm, and 1064 nm. It features a 76.2 mm long, 12.0 mm OD 316L stainless steel body, and a Kalrez O-ring sealed window of fused silica or sapphire. It can be operated from -55 to 200°C. Seal is liquid tight under low pressure (< 1 bar).

The BCR100A Raman cuvette holder allows you to easily measure Raman spectrum of liquids and powders by connecting a Raman probe directly to the holder.  The BCR100A provides Raman signal up to 3 times clearer than standard cuvette holders by using an internal mirror with a three point precision locking mechanism for unmatched reproducibility.  It also provides a stop to prevent the probe shaft from hitting the cuvette and an excitation light trap to reduce background fluorescence.  The BCR100A can be used with any standard 12.5mm x 12.5mm (OD) (1cm path length) size cuvette for liquid or powder sampling.

The BCR100A Raman cuvette holder can be used with either the BAC100 and  BAC102 Lab Grade Raman Probe (shaft diameter of 9.5mm) or with immersion shaft (probes not included).
