i-Raman^® Prime

High throughput, Highly Sensitive, High Resolution Raman System

i-Raman^® Prime

The i-Raman^® Prime is a high sensitivity and high throughput fully integrated Raman system with an embedded tablet computer and fiber optic probe sampling. Using a high quantum efficiency CCD array detector with deep cooling (-25°C) and high dynamic range, this portable Raman spectrometer delivers research-grade Raman capabilities including real-time quantitation and identification capabilities. The high throughput gives excellent signal to noise ratio making it possible to measure even the slightest Raman signals and detect subtle sample differences. The i-Raman Prime series features the unique combination of wide spectral coverage and high resolution, measuring down to 150 cm^-1 to up to 3400cm^-1, in a mobile design. The i-Raman Prime offers three excitations of 532, 785, and 1064 nm that can accommodate numerous applications.

The i-Raman Prime can be battery operated for easy portability, giving research grade Raman capabilities for high precision qualitative and quantitative work wherever needed. The system is optimized for use with our STRaman^® technology.

Portable Raman System for Content Uniformity

QTRam^®

The QTRam^® is a portable Transmission Raman Spectrometer powered by our patented STRaman^® technology optimized for rapid and nondestructive quantitative analysis ideal for content uniformity testing of finished products such as tablets and capsules.

The portable QTRam can be used for at-line quantitation of tablet composition, reducing the time and associated production delays that come from needing to submit samples to the laboratory for in-process and final product testing. Calibrations can be developed for multi competent testing from a single Raman spectrum.

The QTRam can be easily operated using 21CFR Part 11 compliant software for quantitative analysis on the inbuilt tablet computer, while the portable form factor allows users to use it for at-line analysis or in the lab.

STRam^®

Portable Raman Analyzer for Rapid Analysis and Identification Through Opaque Barriers

STRam^®

The award-winning STRam^® portable Raman system delivers rapid material identification capabilities through a variety of barrier layers and packaging previously impenetrable with Raman. The system design unites a high throughput spectrometer, specialized sampling optics and advanced algorithms in a compact Raman system with embedded tablet computer. The STRam and STRam-1064, operating with 785 and 1064-nm Raman excitation respectively, can identify materials through multiple layers of packaging to meet your application needs.

With our patented technology, you can use the STRam to identify samples inside opaque packages. The STRam collects Raman signal generated underneath diffusive top layers so you can identify material inside visually opaque barriers such as white plastic bottles, paper envelopes, tablet coatings, and highly fluorescent Kraft paper. This removes the need to open containers and have any direct exposure with the material, thus maintaining package and sample integrity, and increasing operator safety.

The STRam design features a large sampling area and sampling depth and minimized power density, so you can measure samples that can be challenging for conventional focused Raman spectroscopy.

Fiber Coupled Raman Trigger Probe

BAC102

The BAC102 Raman Trigger Probe offers a trigger function which is designed for versatility in making Raman measurements. The probe can be brought directly to the sample and make contact with either the sample or the packaging of the sample via a detachable distance regulator that ensures proper focusing while minimizing contamination to the lens material. The trigger button provides the convenience of initiating measurement from the probe head.

Different versions of the probe with varying optical lenses allow for measurements down to 65cm^-1 Raman shift (100 cm^-1 for 1064 nm version). The standard fiber length of 1.5m includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the high throughput models (HT) have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

The standard shaft is 304SS with a flat quartz window and spot size of 85 μm. This is not for immersive use. For unpressurized immersion measurements alternate shafts are required. We offer Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window). Custom probes can be constructed with dimensions, material and working distance to suit your application needs.

Industrial Raman Probe

BAC101

The BAC101 is an immersion Raman probe designed for in-situ analysis including those in demanding industrial environments.

The BAC101 industrial-grade probe is available with shafts of 316SS or Hastelloy C-276, offering a wide range of operating temperatures and chemical compatibility. They are offered for use with our 532 and 785nm excitation portable Raman instruments, and high-throughput (HT) versions are available for optimal performance with the i-Raman Prime series high-throughput instruments. Due to the extremely short working distance of the probe shaft, highly reproducible results are achieved working with the probe tip immersed in liquids, slurries, powders, or in direct contact with solids.

The standard fiber comes at a length of 1.5m and includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and a durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the HT models have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

For unpressurized measurements requiring longer working distances, such as going through glass reactors, Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window) are available.

BWIQ^® is a comprehensive multivariate analysis software package for analysis of spectral data including exploratory, qualitative analysis and quantitative regression methods. BWIQ supports the classical chemometric methods for classification and regression including Partial Least Squares Regression (PLS), Principal Component Analysis (PCA) and Discriminant Analysis with Support Vector Machine (SVM) algorithms for non-linear datasets. It features an intuitive workflow from data import to prediction, with extensive graphics in support of model analysis and interpretation. BWIQ includes preprocessing tools for optimal analysis of Raman, NIR, LIBS and other spectroscopic datasets. The BWIQ chemometrics model are used with the QTRam^® .
