Fundamentals of Miniature Spectroscopy

This webinar will discuss the fundamentals of modular spectrometers and how they have evolved into a modern spectroscopic tool. We will provide a brief overview of various spectrometer designs and how the different optical components can be configured to optimize the system’s performance for a desired outcome. We will also discuss the advantages that fiber-optics provide for sampling and easy reconfiguration. Wrapping up the first half of the webinar, we will discuss the advantages of using miniature spectrometers for systems level integration.  The second half will provide an overview of many common applications of miniature spectrometers including reflectance, absorption, Raman, transmission, emission, and fluorescence.
