This application note focuses on rock art paintings in five rock art sites in the eastern Iberian Peninsula. Each of these sites presents outstanding difficulties of analysis by Raman spectroscopy, the most prevalent being crusts that mask Raman signals from the pigments of the paint recipe. In this application note, published in the June issue of European Pharmaceutical Review, we explore the benefits of library and identification method transfer on handheld Raman spectrometers for rapid analysis of materials in the warehouse. Continue reading →
This application note in Spectroscopy Magazine discusses the benefits of using portable and handheld Raman spectroscopy (particularly the TacticID handheld Raman spectrometer) to identify forensic and homeland security-related samples. Continue reading →
B&W Tek met with principle investigator Marta Zlatic and head engineer Dominik Hoffmann to discuss the use of our lasers in a stimulus-evoked behavior study using fruit fly larva. We successfully partnered with them for their proof of principle using our infrared solid-state multimode lasers to better understand the neurons in fruit fly larva, and the behaviors that are induced with laser stimulus.
