The RIS100 optional immersion shaft is designed as a replacement shaft for our BAC100 and BAC102 Raman probe assemblies in order to perform immersion measurements. It is ideal for observing kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing via Raman spectroscopy because it can be submerged into a liquid sample. Special effort was taken in designing this immersion shaft to guarantee that it is liquid tight and inert.
It can be used with Raman probes with excitation wavelengths 532nm, 785nm, and 1064 nm.
It features a 76.2 mm long, 12.0 mm OD 316L stainless steel body, and a Kalrez O-ring sealed window of fused silica or sapphire. It can be operated from -55 to 200°C. Seal is liquid tight under low pressure (< 1 bar).
