The NR2-PAS is a point and shoot adapter for the NanoRam and NanoRam-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer.  This point and shoot attachment is ideal for infield sampling of materials and is capable of measuring through plastic and glass containers.

This right angle attachment improves accessibility and is ideal for measuring samples with large surface areas.  Additionally, the NR2-RAA can be used to perform hands-free measurement by "sitting" a NanoRam with the adapter on a sample surface, which may be desirable for certain application tasks.The NR2-RAA is a right angle adaptor that is included with the NanoRam-1064 and is an optional accessory for the NanoRam® handheld Raman spectrometer.

The NRX-BSA is a large bottle adaptor with 10mm working distance for the NanoRam-1064. It features a curved light shield in order to reduce interference from ambient lighting. This works well with larger and thick walled glass bottles.

The NRX-CTP-IMP is an immersion probe for the NanoRam-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer that makes it easy to measure liquid, solid or gel samples inside a container, so sample does not need to be removed. This probe has a 6in length and a working distance of about 1mm.

The NR2-BSA is a bottle adaptor for the NanoRam and NanoRam-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer.  It features a curved light shield in order to reduce interference from ambient lighting.  Additionally, the bottle adaptor has a longer working distance allowing the laser to focus deeper into the container, mitigating interference from thick containers.

The NR2-IMP is an immersion probe for the NanoRam handheld Raman spectrometer. The stainless steel probe is 30.5 cm (12 inch) in length and allows for in situ measurements of liquids and powders, and measurements of larger containers only accessible from the top

The NR2-TAH is an optional tablet holder adaptor for the NanoRam handheld Raman spectrometer.  It allows for flexible sampling of tablets and a lid to hold the tablet in place while it is measured.

The NR2-PCC is a polystyrene validation cap for the NanoRam and NanoRam-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer.  This validation cap allows you to verify the NanoRam’s calibration by simply attaching it to the system.

The NR2-LVH is a liquid vial holder adaptor for the NanoRam and NanoRam-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer.  It allows for in situ measurements of liquids and gels in 15mm vials.

The NR2-IMPS-49 is a disposable, protective sleeve for the NanoRam Immersion Probe model NR2-IMP, which is used with the NanoRam handheld Raman spectrometer. It allows for easy testing of liquid and powder materials. The sleeves are sold in packs of 49 or 490.

The TAP-KIT-T is a SERS Analysis kit for use with the TacticID-N Plus for Raman signal amplification and fluorescence reduction of hard to measure samples. It includes a black pouch, Tweezer, SERS Analysis Adaptor, and 25 SERS substrates

The TAP-AT is a SERS Analysis Adaptor for use with TacPac™-P SERS Substrates for the TacticID Plus.

The NRX-CTP-IMP is an immersion probe for the TacticID-1064 handheld Raman spectrometer that makes it easy to measure liquid, solid or gel samples inside a container. This probe has a 6in length and a working distance of about 1 mm, This is an optional accessory for the TacticID-1064 and the TacticID-1064 ST.

The BAC102 Raman Trigger Probe offers a trigger function which is designed for versatility in making Raman measurements. The probe can be brought directly to the sample and make contact with either the sample or the packaging of the sample via a detachable distance regulator that ensures proper focusing while minimizing contamination to the lens material. The trigger button provides the convenience of initiating measurement from the probe head.

Different versions of the probe with varying optical lenses allow for measurements down to 65cm^-1 Raman shift (100 cm^-1 for 1064 nm version). The standard fiber length of 1.5m includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the high throughput models (HT) have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

The standard shaft is 304SS with a flat quartz window and spot size of 85 μm. This is not for immersive use. For unpressurized immersion measurements alternate shafts are required. We offer Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window). Custom probes can be constructed with dimensions, material and working distance to suit your application needs.

The BAC101 is an immersion Raman probe designed for in-situ analysis including those in demanding industrial environments.

The BAC101 industrial-grade probe is available with shafts of 316SS or Hastelloy C-276, offering a wide range of operating temperatures and chemical compatibility. They are offered for use with our 532 and 785nm excitation portable Raman instruments, and high-throughput (HT) versions are available for optimal performance with the i-Raman Prime series high-throughput instruments. Due to the extremely short working distance of the probe shaft, highly reproducible results are achieved working with the probe tip immersed in liquids, slurries, powders, or in direct contact with solids.

The standard fiber comes at a length of 1.5m and includes flexible fiber coupling, internal support and a durable protective PVC jacket. The excitation fiber has a 105 μm core diameter and is FC/PC terminated. The collection fibers for the HT models have a 300 μm core collection fiber and are FC/PC terminated, while standard models have a 200 μm core and are SMA 905 terminated.

For unpressurized measurements requiring longer working distances, such as going through glass reactors, Kalrez O-ring sealed shafts RIS100-FS (fused silica window) and RIS100-SA (sapphire window) are available.

The BAC151 is a compact Raman microscope compatible with B&W Tek portable Raman systems. It is designed to offer the highest level of flexibility in facilitating Raman microsampling for a variety of applications. The BAC151 can be configured to fulfill the exact requirements of your application. The unique dual-laser-wavelength port provides the flexibility for one microscope to be coupled with two different laser wavelength Raman systems. The integrated camera allows for precision Raman sampling through camera monitoring of the laser beam and imaging details. This enclosure (BAC152C) is designed for Raman sampling systems such as our Raman video microscope and probe holder. The enclosure eliminates direct ocular and/or skin exposure from the laser emission and makes the otherwise class 3b laser of the i-Raman series as safe as class 1. The enclosure is good for all B&WTek Raman systems with 532nm, 785nm, and 1064nm lasers. It also minimizes any interference of ambient light in the collection of Raman data. The enclosure is ergonomically designed to facilitate sample loading and system operation. It can be used in conjunction with the Video Microscope (BAC151C) or Raman probe holder stand (BAC150B) and a portable i-Raman series instrument to complete the Raman sampling system. The BAC150B is a Raman sampling accessory that serves as a holder for B&W Tek’s fiber Raman probe.

The BAC150B has XYZ axis adjustment; the Z axis is vertical and is used to focus the laser to ensure the best Raman excitation and collection ability. The X/Y adjustment is achieved through two layers of a mechanical stage, which is also the working plate for samples. By adjusting the X/Y stage, you can obtain Raman spectra from anywhere on the sample.
The BAC150B is versatile for a variety of samples, allowing for the measurement of both very small samples and those weighing a few kilograms.

The RIS100 optional immersion shaft is designed as a replacement shaft for our BAC100 and BAC102 Raman probe assemblies in order to perform immersion measurements. It is ideal for observing kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing via Raman spectroscopy because it can be submerged into a liquid sample. Special effort was taken in designing this immersion shaft to guarantee that it is liquid tight and inert. It can be used with Raman probes with excitation wavelengths 532nm, 785nm, and 1064 nm. It features a 76.2 mm long, 12.0 mm OD 316L stainless steel body, and a Kalrez O-ring sealed window of fused silica or sapphire. It can be operated from -55 to 200°C. Seal is liquid tight under low pressure (< 1 bar).

The BCR100A Raman cuvette holder allows you to easily measure Raman spectrum of liquids and powders by connecting a Raman probe directly to the holder.  The BCR100A provides Raman signal up to 3 times clearer than standard cuvette holders by using an internal mirror with a three point precision locking mechanism for unmatched reproducibility.  It also provides a stop to prevent the probe shaft from hitting the cuvette and an excitation light trap to reduce background fluorescence.  The BCR100A can be used with any standard 12.5mm x 12.5mm (OD) (1cm path length) size cuvette for liquid or powder sampling.

The BCR100A Raman cuvette holder can be used with either the BAC100 and  BAC102 Lab Grade Raman Probe (shaft diameter of 9.5mm) or with immersion shaft (probes not included).

The RST-FA-xx is a focus adaptor for the STRam or STRam-1064 to refocus the light for confocal measurements

The RST-SR is a surface regulator for the STRam which brings the focus to the sample at the regulators surface

The RST-LS is a light shield for the STRam to minimize light interference to the measurement

The RST-BCST-70 is a bluetooth 1D barcode scanner for use with BWID software for product data entry. It can be used on computers with bluetooth or USB connectivity.

The NR-LVH is a liquid vial holder adaptor for use with BAC102 lab grade Raman probes with shaft diameter of 9.5mm.  It allows for in situ measurements of liquids and gels in 15mm vials.

The NR-PCC is a polystyrene validation cap that is compatible with all BAC102 lab grade fiber optic Raman probes. This validation cap allows you to verify the system performance by simply attaching it to the probe.

This series of lenses is equipped with long working distances from 20 mm to 6 meters, which expands the utility of our BAC100/BAC102 fiber optic Raman probes to measure in places that may be inaccessible to a standard probe. The lenses have adjustable working distances and provide a wide zoom, and even telescopic measurements, with various models available, each optimized for different Raman excitation ranges. The long working distances allow for process monitoring behind optical glass such as glass vacuum chambers, and analysis of samples in difficult-to-access places such as may be found in archaeological sites. The model with working distance up to 6 meters allows for stand-off measurements such as needed for energetic materials. The lenses can be mounted on a tripod (optional) using a standard ¼”-20 thread mount.

These lenses have a working temperature range of -30°C to +50°C.

The BAC160 is a liquid sampling flow cell designed for on-line Raman or fluorescence process monitoring of liquids. It provides a sampling platform with high throughput and stability for use with our laboratory probes (9.5mm). It is ideal for observing kinetic reaction studies or dissolution testing via Raman spectroscopy in real-time either on-line or in your laboratory.

The flow cell is deigned to be liquid tight and inert. The BAC160 flow cell is constructed in 316 stainless steel or titanium with a Kalrez® O-ring and fused silica windows to create a chemically resistant seal. It offers an economical interface for use with a variety of chemical and biological processes, providing reliability and repeatability for on-line process monitoring. The flow cell is easy to install and take apart for occasional cleaning.

The EBP-106 is a Lithium-based rechargeable external battery pack with fixed 12VDC output. This optional battery is compatible with i-Raman Plus, i-Raman Pro, i-Raman Prime, i-Raman EX, STRam, and QTRam

The BAC063 series of laser safety goggles are available in 532nm, 785nm, and 1064nm and are intended for use with our Raman spectrometers.  We recommend the use of laser safety goggles for Raman spectrometer systems due to their Class IIIb lasers. Class IIIb lasers produce radiation that can cause damage to the eyes when viewed directly or indirectly.

The CLA-SMA collimating lens is used to convert divergent rays of light into parallel rays.  The lens is fabricated from fused silica and can be used over a broad spectral range (UV/Vis/NIR). The CLA-SMA attaches to an SMA 905 connector of a fiber optic patch cord and fiber assemblies. When used with a fiber cord attached to a light source, the CLA-SMA produces a parallel (collimated) beam of light. When the fiber cord is attached to a spectrometer, the CLA-SMA provides a narrow acceptance angle and narrow field-of-view.

The SRR spectral reflectance reference is used to measure a reference spectrum in order to calibrate your setup for reflectance measurements.  This reference is possible because it is a “pure” white material, reflecting nearly 100% of light across a broad spectral range.

The SRR is comprised of PTFE contained in a protective circular metal housing. It has a diffuse reflectance of 99% between 400nm and 800nm, >98% between 300nm and 1800nm (UV-Vis-NIR region), and >92% between 250nm and 2500nm. The SRR is available in two diameters, 1.25” & 2.0”. Each standard is available with an optional diffuse reflectance data certificate from 250nm – 2500nm, at 50nm increments.

The BAT100 manual attenuator is used to attenuate bright sources in order to prevent the signal from saturating the spectrometer.  This is achieved by manually adjusting a thumbscrew positioned directly in front of the face of the fiber.  The BAT100 consists of standard SMA 905 connectors, allowing you to connect a fiber on one end, and either a spectrometer or a light source the other end.

Featuring a diffuser made from PTFE, the FRC100 can be used from the UV to the NIR range. When compared to integrating spheres, the FRC100 provides greater optical efficiency and improved signal sensitivity over a broad spectral range. A 600mm fiber patch cord with metal sheathing is provided which connects to the SMA 905 connector on the FRC100 and to a spectrometer on the other end. A working setup would consist of purchasing an FRC100, spectrometer, and irradiance calibration.

The FDP fiber optic dip probe is fully immersible, allowing for real-time kinetic data to be collected. The design of a fiber optic dip probe is very similar to that of a reflection probe, though special effort is taken to guarantee that it is liquid tight and inert. The key functional difference is the presence of a cavity which fills with the liquid sample. This cavity reflects light back through the sample and into the collection optical fiber in a setup commonly referred to as a transflectance.

The FRP fiber reflectance probe combines optical fibers at one end for sample measurement and is bundle bifurcated into two channels at the other end for connection to a light source and spectrometer.

A fiber optic reflectance probe can measure either diffuse or specular reflectance from surfaces. When positioned at an angle to the surface normal, it measures diffuse reflectance. When positioned normal to the surface (0° angle of incidence) it measures specular reflectance.

All standard FRP reflectance probes consist of a bundle of 7 optical fibers in a stainless steel ferrule (illustrated as Terminal C). Assemblies are available with UV or NIR grade fused silica optical fibers with standard fiber core diameters of 200μm.

The light source and spectrometer channels feature standard SMA 905 connectors. The fiber configuration for these channels consists of two options. For use with B&W Tek’s CCD spectrometers that have a 200mm pixel height, a single fiber channel (Terminal B) serves as the spectrometer channel. A round bundle of six fibers serves as the light source channel. For all other B&W Tek spectrometers with larger pixel height, a linear bundle of six fibers is best used as the spectrometer channel, which will align to a spectrometer entrance slit.

The TFA trifurcated fiber optic bundle series combines optical fibers at a common end with the fiber optic bundle trifurcated into three separate channels, terminated with standard SMA 905 connectors.

TFA bundles are comprised of one common end with seven 400µm NIR optical fibers in a “6 around 1” configuration, terminated with a probe tip.  Through one channel (normally connected to a NIR spectrometer) three of the seven optical fibers are terminated in a slit configuration.  Through the middle channel (normally connected to a tungsten halogen light source) three more of the seven optical fibers are terminated in a round configuration.  Through the last channel (normally connected to a visible spectrometer) the last optical fiber is terminated in a SMA connector.

A bifurcated fiber assembly is the most common example of a fiber optic bundle and is used to either split a signal or combine signals.  The BFA series combines optical fibers at a common end with the fiber optic bundle bifurcated into two separate channels, terminated with standard SMA 905 connectors.  Assemblies are available with UV or NIR grade fused silica optical fibers with fiber core diameters of either 200µm or 400µm.

The BRS is a customized bifurcated fiber optic assembly featuring broadband-grade fiber optics at the common end with three fibers evenly distributed around a center fiber.  The bifurcated ends have a single optical fiber in one terminal and three fibers in a linear format in the other terminal which align to a spectrometer entrance slit. BRS fiber assemblies are offered for OEM customers only.

Some of the most common applications for bifurcated fiber optic bundles are those that require you to direct light from a sample into two different spectrometers. This is generally used to extend the spectral coverage of the measurement, either to maintain higher resolution, or to cover an extended range. Conversely, a bifurcated fiber assembly can be used to direct light into a spectrometer and measure the light reflected off of the sample.

The FRS round-to-slit bundle is a fiber optic assembly with a round bundle of six fibers to collect light on one end of the fiber.  The other end of the fiber converges in a stacked linear configuration which will align to the spectrometer’s entrance slit.  FRS round-to-slit bundles are available with UV or NIR grade fused silica optical fibers with standard fiber core diameters of 100 µm.

This configuration allows for much higher throughput into your spectrometer, as opposed to simply using a larger core fiber. When a large core fiber is placed in front of the entrance slit of a spectrometer, the majority of the light is vinyetted and doesn’t make it into the spectrometer. By contrast, when the smaller fibers are stacked along the entrance slit, significantly more light enters into the spectrometer. This allows for much higher sensitivity and signal to noise, while maintaining resolution, since the slit can remain relatively narrow.

It is important to note that proper alignment of the stacked fiber to the spectrometer’s slit is crucial for the fiber to work correctly and must be done every time the fiber is connected.

The fiber patch cords are fiber optic cables terminated with SMA905 connectors on both ends (FC connectors available upon request). These patch cords connect with ease to our spectrometers, light sources and sampling accessories.  They are available in UV, NIR, and MIR grade fused silica optical fibers with various core diameters. Fiber core sizes range from 50mm to 1000mm with a standard length of 1.5 meters, custom lengths available upon request.

For applications in the deep UV region (190nm-325nm), effects of high levels of UV radiation on the transmission of a silica core optical fiber must be considered.  Solarization changes depend on the type of fiber used as well as the intensity and spectral output of the UV source.  The deep UV enhanced fiber patch cord uses hydrogen loaded high OH- silica to provide the best resistance to solarization.

UV grade fiber patch cords use a low OH- content silica core for a spectral range of 350nm to 2400nm.

The BFH105 inline filter holder is designed for fiber coupling and ease of handling. It can hold up to three standard filters (1inch in diameter, 5mm thick - not included). The BFH105 has two SMA 905 fiber connections and can be used with any fiber coupled spectrometer and/or any light source.

The TSF adjustable sampling fixture allows you to adjust the path-length by manually adjusting the mounted collimating lens on one side of the sample, and/or the integrating sphere on the other side.  This allows you to measure translucence using large and/or awkwardly shaped samples.

The ACF adjustable cuvette sampling fixture allows you to adjust the path-length through your sample, allowing for a wide range of cuvettes sizes to be used.  Additionally, the centerpiece is removable, allowing you to measure transmission using large and/or awkwardly shaped samples.

The BCH cuvette sample holder series is spring-loaded and holds a standard 12.5 x 12.5mm (OD) (1cm path length) cuvette for liquid or powder sample transmittance and absorbance with proper spectrometer and light source setup. The cuvette sample holder provides 2 or 3 (optional) SMA 905 fiber couplers with collimated optics and is ideal for use with any standard fiber coupled spectrometer together with any fiber coupled light source. The standard configuration (BCH100A) comes with two ports (straight through).  A third port configuration (BCH103A) is also available for right angle (with respect to the illuminations) detections for fluorescence applications.

The R1010 direct contact attachment for reflectance probe regulates the distance and the angle between the probe and your sample so that you get a consistent diffuse reflectance measurement every time.  This is ideal for measuring various points on large samples due to its small size and ease of use. Probe not included.

The R045 reflectance sample holder enables you to perform diffuse reflection measurements without the need for a reflectance probe.  Two fiber optic cables can be connected to the SMA905 ports which are placed at 0° and 45° angles from the sample, which sits directly on top of the holder.  By illuminating the sample through one fiber and collecting the reflected spectrum from the other, you can measure diffuse reflection with ease.

The FRPH fiber reflectance probe holder is designed to hold a reflectance probe at either a 0° or 45° angle for easy alignment when performing reflectance based spectroscopy.  For best results, it is important to have accurate control over positioning and distance from your sample, as well as degree of incidence.

The BIP2.0 compact, fiber coupled integrating sphere with integrated light source is designed for the measurement of diffuse reflectance when used with a fiber optic spectrometer.  It uses “d/8” geometry, which is required for reflectance measurement of diffuse surfaces, especially when spectral reflectance is used for the color measurement of materials.

The BIP2.0 includes a light source housing that contains a long-life 20W Tungsten Halogen lamp which emits over a broad spectrum (UV-Vis-NIR). A remote control port is provided on the rear for versatile remote On/Off modulation, operating current monitoring, and external operating current control. The housing includes a miniature fan and cooling fins that provide thermal stability of the light source, and a slow ramp start is built directly into the source to ensure stability and long-life operation.

The two inch diameter integrating sphere is machined from PTFE which is highly reflective (>97%) over a broad spectral range of 350 to > 2600nm.  Two SMA 905 fiber optic connectors are positioned diametrically opposite the sample port to allow the spectrometer to view diffusely illuminated samples at an angle of 8º to normal. A lens inside the SMA905 connector restricts the field of view of the optical fiber to the measurement port.  The BIP2.0, when operated with the remaining SMA905 connector open, measures purely diffuse reflectance because the specular light escapes the integrating sphere through the open port.  When the remaining SMA905 connector port is plugged with an optional PTFE plug (BIP2.0-P), the BIP2.0 measures both diffuse and specular reflectance.

The BIS1.5A compact fiber coupled integrating sphere is machined from PTFE and is the ideal solution for the measurement of diffuse light.  It has a diffuse reflectance of 99% between 400nm and 800nm, >98% between 300nm and 1800nm (UV-Vis-NIR region), and >92% between 250nm and 2500nm.
