At B&W Tek, we offer a wide range of after-market services in order to provide you with the most comprehensive solution possible.

IQ/OQ Services

At B&W Tek, we support you with full cGMP documentation packages and periodic re-qualification of our instruments in order to help you maintain your strict customer quality assurance standards as well as all mandatory regulations.  The Installation Qualification (IQ) / Operation Qualification (OQ) test procedures for our 21 CFR Part 11 compliant software packages describe and document the necessary tests to be performed in order to demonstrate the successful hardware installation, confirm that the hardware has been installed according to vendor and customer guidelines, and establish confidence that the instrument will conform to the application requirements for which it was designed.

In addition to providing you with comprehensive IQ/OQ documentation, we also provide services for onsite implementation by one of our own customer support engineers or by a fully trained and certified local partner.  All implementation procedures are performed in accordance with cGMP requirements, ensuring compliance with your quality assurance system, and will include demonstrations of your instrument’s components and features.

Extended Warranty & Preventative Maintenance

Extended one-year factory warranties are available for select B&W Tek products assuring our customers that their systems shall remain free from defects in workmanship or materials and conform in all material respects to B&W Tek specifications, or Purchaser’s supplied and accepted specifications. B&W Tek's liability is limited to the repair or replacement of the unit or any defective item and shall not include incidental or consequential damages caused by normal wear, accident, misuse or abuse by the user. Extended Warranties must be purchased concurrent with original sale of the unit.

Calibration Services

At B&W Tek, we want to help you maximize your return on investment, so we offer a variety of calibration services to make sure your instrument is always operating at optimal performance.  Our talented and dedicated staff performs thorough inspections and careful alignments for every unit that leaves our facility.

Wavelength Calibration

It is critical to ensure that your spectrometer’s optical bench is properly aligned in order to guarantee the accuracy of the wavelength and resolution, both of which assure proper data integrity.  At B&W Tek, we certify accurate wavelength calibration for 12 months after delivery of all spectrometers.  After this calibration certification has expired, we can provide you with a wavelength calibration recertification for your spectrometer, valid for an additional 12 months.  This service includes a unit performance inspection, wavelength calibration verification / inspection, wavelength certification, and a new calibration expiration sticker & wavelength calibration certificate.  For customers that have already purchased the Extended Warranty & Preventative Maintenance Service Plan, wavelength calibration is already included.

Irradiance Calibration

For those of you that are interested in measuring absolute spectral irradiance, you’ll want to compensate for the non-uniform sensitivity as a function of wavelength, which is inherent to all spectroscopy systems.  In order to compensate for this, we will calibrate your spectrometer setup against a NIST traceable tungsten light source.  After performing this calibration and applying the irradiance ratio file provided to you, your spectrometer will now measure absolute intensity, and therefore allow our software to calculate radiometric properties such as irradiance, chromaticity, and correlated color temperature.
